Claudia Reuter is the Executive Director, Engineering Innovation and Director of the Roberts Innovation Fund, Yale Ventures, at Yale University in New Haven, CT. The fund was launched in 2022 to provide funding, mentoring, and strategic support for Yale faculty-led projects to assist in the commercialization of breakthrough inventions that solve real-world problems.
Claudia previously served as Manager Director with Techstars, an organization focused on investing in and helping to accelerate startups, where she made and managed equity investments in 20 startups and went on to serve as General Manager for the East Coast and Canada. Prior to joining Techstars, she was the co-founder and CEO of SchoolChapters, Inc., which was acquired by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where she went on to lead Digital Services & Labs.
Claudia is the author of “Yes, You Can Do This! How Women Start Up, Scale Up, and Build the Life They Want” (Wiley 2020), in which she created a manifesto encouraging women (and men) to consider entrepreneurship, and included a practical how-to-guide to get started. Claudia is also the creator and host of the podcast The 43 Percent, which is dedicated to sharing stories of what success can look like for women in business as they work to balance family and career.
Claudia is a graduate of the University of Vermont and completed an executive program at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. She served on the Board of Directors at Lessonly until its successful exit in 2021, and is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Innovation Leader.
