Joni Cobb is a strategic, creative, and energetic executive with a proven track record envisioning and driving successful outcomes for complex business challenges and initiatives. Her diverse industry background includes technology, biosciences, law, board management, communications, government relations, media, and film. Currently, Joni serves on the National Projection Development Team for Creative Planning -an independent wealth management firm managing approximately $90 billion for clients in all 50 states as of June 30, 2021.
Prior to her work at Creative Planning, Joni served as the Founding President & CEO at Pipeline Entrepreneurs. During her 14-year tenure, Pipeline entrepreneurs produced significant financial impact – creating over $1.39B in revenues, raising over $608M in outside capital, conducting business in over 85 countries and creating over 2700 jobs. For this work, Pipeline was recognized in 2016 by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation with its “Uncommon Award” for excellence in entrepreneurial programming – awarded in honor of Ewing Kauffman’s 100th Celebration.
Joni has been featured in well-known industry publications, has appeared on radio and television, and has earned a Mid-America Emmy Award and International Stevie Award for writing, directing, and co-editing a documentary/style film showcasing entrepreneurship. She has been recognized in many leadership societies, including the Power 100 in Kansas City, Women Who Mean Business, Women of Influence and Techweek 100.
Joni earned her law degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Missouri.
